After leading you through a magical, mystical, fantastic journey, interwoven with nostalgia, memory, and the transformative, Meet Me at the Center of the Earth culminates with SoundSuitShop | SAM, an immersive shopping experience in the last gallery of the exhibition. Design is used as a vehicle of expression to bring the experience of Nick Cave’s artwork to objects, wearables, and paper goods that embody the mission “product that matters.” Quality, consideration and awareness of the sensory experience is the fundamental SoundSuitShop.com approach. The venue is created for you to access and extend your experience of the exhibition outside the museum walls and into everyday life. Every article is designed and produced with as much care, attention to detail, and surprise as each one of Nick Cave’s SoundSuits. Innovative design, quality of materials and construction embodies the same inspiration experienced throughout the exhibition Meet Me at the Center of the Earth. As Nick shares his vision with you, the use of these objects—serving as transmitters of his work, with you as messengers,—will create a ripple effect of imaginative shared experiences. SoundSuitShop | SAM is also the launching ground for many new products including punching bags, temporary tattoos and limited edition scarves.
